Installing the Field App

The field interface runs as a Progressive Web App (PWA) in your mobile browser — there is no separate app store download for most deployments. "Installing" means Add to Home Screen so it opens like a native app.

iOS (Safari)

  1. Open your company's field tech URL in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button.
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen and confirm.

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open the field tech URL in Chrome.
  2. Tap the menu (⋮) and choose Install app or Add to Home screen (wording varies by version).

Notifications

For schedule change alerts and similar pushes, the browser may ask for notification permission — allow if your office relies on web push. If prompts are unavailable, your plan may omit install/prompt features or the browser may block background notifications.

Tips

  • Bookmark or install on each tech device they actually carry in the field.
  • Keep OS and browser updated for best PWA support.
