Offline Mode

Offline Mode (Field Tech)

The field tech experience is designed for spotty connectivity. When you are offline, many actions are written to a local queue and sent to the server when the connection returns.

What gets queued

Typical queued work includes status changes, notes, and other mutations your cockpit allows while offline. Photo uploads may also queue until bandwidth is available (see your on-screen progress).

Sync and errors

  • When the device cannot store more queue data (for example local storage is full), you may see a warning — free space on the device and try again.
  • When sync completes, the app distinguishes failed server responses from successes. If some items were rejected (for example validation), you should see a count of failures and can retry manually after fixing the issue — the app does not treat a failed item as fully synced.

Best practices

  • Reconnect to Wi-Fi or cellular when possible before end-of-day so the office sees your updates.
  • If something looks stuck, pull to refresh or open the page again after you're online.
