Importing Customers
Importing Customers
If you have an existing customer list, you can import it in bulk using a CSV file rather than adding each customer manually.
Prepare your CSV file
Your CSV should include a header row. The following columns are supported:
| Column | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
name |
Yes | Customer's full name or company name |
email |
No | Email address |
phone |
No | Phone number (any format) |
address |
No | Street address |
city |
No | City |
state |
No | State or province |
zip |
No | Postal/ZIP code |
notes |
No | Any internal notes about the customer |
Run the import
- Navigate to Clients in the main menu.
- Click the Import button in the top-right corner.
- Select your CSV file.
- Map the columns in your file to the fields above — the system will auto-match common column names.
- Review the preview and click Import.
After the import
- Duplicates are flagged based on matching name + email or name + phone combinations.
- You can review and merge duplicates from the customer list.
- Properties are auto-created from the address fields if provided.
Tip: If you're migrating from another field service platform, export your customer list as CSV from that tool first. Most platforms support this.
