Contacts & Leads
The Leads inbox collects contact requests submitted through your public landing page or website contact form. Use it to track inquiries and follow up before converting them into customers.
How leads arrive
When someone submits the contact form on your public page, their inquiry appears in Leads with a status of New. Each submission captures:
- Name (required)
- Email and/or phone number (at least one is required)
- Service requested (optional)
- Message (optional)
You also receive an email notification at your company email address (configured in Settings → Company Profile).
Lead statuses
Every lead moves through a simple pipeline:
- New — just submitted, no action taken yet.
- Contacted — you've reached out to this person.
- Closed — resolved, whether they became a customer or not.
Update a lead's status from the Leads list by selecting the new status.
Managing leads requires contacts.manage (or equivalent customer-edit permissions on some routes). If you cannot change statuses, ask an admin to adjust your permission profile.
Instant estimates from the web
Higher-intent leads may arrive through Web Lead Estimates — visitors get a draft estimate from your landing flow. Those records still land in your CRM pipeline alongside manual contact submissions.
Converting a lead to a customer
When you're ready to bring a lead on as a customer:
- Note their name, email, and phone from the lead record.
- Go to Customers → + New Customer and create their profile.
- Mark the lead as Closed.
Filtering and tracking
- Use the status filter tabs at the top of the Leads page to focus on New, Contacted, or Closed inquiries.
- A badge on the sidebar shows the count of New leads so you never miss a fresh inquiry.
Tips
- Respond to new leads quickly — fast follow-up dramatically increases conversion rates.
- If you don't see leads coming in, make sure your public landing page is enabled and the contact form is visible. See Landing Page.
