Approving Estimates
Approving Estimates
When your service provider sends you an estimate, you'll receive an email with a link to review and respond. No account or app is needed.
Reviewing an estimate
- Click View Estimate in the email you received.
- A secure page opens showing the work description, line items, and total cost.
- Review the details carefully.
Approving
If everything looks good, click Approve Estimate. Your service provider is notified immediately and can begin scheduling the work.
Declining
If you'd like to pass on the estimate, click Decline. You can optionally add a note explaining why (e.g. "too expensive" or "not needed right now"). Your provider sees the note and may follow up with an adjusted offer.
What happens after approval
Once you approve an estimate:
- Your service provider is notified and the estimate status updates to Approved.
- The work is typically scheduled within a few business days.
- You may receive a follow-up with a confirmed date and time.
- When the job completes, an invoice is generated based on the estimate's line items.
For business owners
From Work → Estimates, you can:
- Track which estimates are pending, approved, or declined.
- Resend estimates if the customer hasn't responded.
- Convert approved estimates directly into scheduled jobs.
- See approval rates to gauge your pricing.
Tips
- Respond promptly to estimates — most providers schedule on a first-come, first-served basis.
- If you have questions about an estimate, contact your provider directly before declining.
