LTV Tiers
LTV Tiers
Every active customer is assigned a lifetime-value tier (LTV Tier) based on the total revenue they have generated for your business. Tiers make it easy to prioritize who to follow up with, who to spend marketing effort on, and who is most at risk of churn.
Tiers at a glance
- A — Top-tier customers. Highest lifetime revenue bracket. Keep them happy.
- B — Mid-tier customers. Solid revenue, usually consistent service history.
- C — Lower-tier customers. Occasional or one-off service.
- Inactive — No meaningful recent activity. Candidates for a win-back campaign.
How tiers are determined
Tiers are calculated relative to your own customer base, not against fixed dollar amounts. Here's how it works:
- We total each customer's lifetime revenue from completed jobs.
- All your customers are ranked by revenue from highest to lowest.
- Tiers are assigned based on where each customer falls in that ranking:
- A — Your top 20% of customers by revenue.
- B — Customers between the top 20% and top 50% by revenue.
- C — Customers in the bottom 50% by revenue (at least one completed job).
- Inactive — Customers with no completed jobs.
Because tiers are relative, the actual dollar thresholds depend on your business. A landscaping company with mostly residential clients will have different A-tier revenue than one serving commercial accounts. Tiers are recomputed automatically as new revenue lands.
