Refunds & Stripe Sync

Refunds & Stripe Sync

Stripe Connect processes card payments for public invoice links and the customer portal. Grunlo listens for Stripe events so invoice rows stay synchronized.

Issuing a refund

  1. Open Billing → Invoices and select the paid invoice.
  2. Choose Refund (full or partial as offered).
  3. Stripe processes the reversal; funds timelines follow Stripe and card network rules (typically several business days).

If the invoice still shows Paid longer than expected after a refund, refresh the page — webhook latency is usually under a minute.

Sync mismatches

  • Payment succeeded but invoice unpaid — rare webhook delays; verify in the Stripe Dashboard, then contact support with the invoice ID if status stays wrong.
  • Amount differs from Stripe — check partial refunds, processing fees (shown in Stripe), and whether the customer paid surcharges.

QuickBooks

Refunds that sync to QuickBooks depend on your integration mapping — see QuickBooks Online.
