Notification Preferences

Notification Preferences

Notifications fall into a few buckets: customer-facing automations, internal staff alerts, and optional web push. Most toggles live under Settings → Notification Preferences.

Customer email & SMS matrix

For each event below you can enable Email, SMS, both, or neither. SMS columns show Subscribe / Upgrade links when your plan does not include outbound SMS — tapping those routes to Plan & Billing.

Notification What it does
Appointment reminders Sends ~24 hours before a scheduled visit.
Arriving soon Lets customers know their technician is en route (pairs with route sequencing).
Job scheduled / rescheduled Fires when a job is placed or moved to a new date/time.
Job completed Sent when the crew marks work complete.
Estimate follow-up Sent a few days after an estimate if still pending approval.
Invoice overdue reminder Nudges customers when an invoice is past due.
Review request SMS channel for review invitations when Feedback & Reviews is configured with your Google review URL; email may bundle with Job Completed per settings.

Changes autosave from the matrix form.

Staff & owner notifications

Below the customer matrix, the Staff & Owner Notifications section controls the emails sent to you and your team (not your customers). Each one is a simple on/off email toggle:

Notification When it's sent
Job auto-rescheduled When an overdue job is automatically moved to the next open slot.
Job needs rescheduling When an overdue job can't be auto-rescheduled and needs your attention.
New online estimate request When a visitor requests an estimate from your website.
New website inquiry When someone submits your website contact form.
Payment received When a customer payment is processed.
Contract activity When a customer approves, declines, or requests changes to a contract, plus renewal and expiry notices.

These default to on. Turn any of them off if your inbox is getting noisy.

Important: Turning off the Job auto-rescheduled email does not stop overdue jobs from being rescheduled — auto-reschedule keeps running, you just stop receiving the per-job notice. To stop the rescheduling behavior itself, turn off Auto-reschedule overdue jobs under Job Lifecycle Automation.

The Job Lifecycle Automation block just above this section also controls staff alerts for overdue in-progress jobs and unscheduled-job warnings.

Phone settings link

The notifications panel links to Settings → Phone & SMS for number provisioning — required before SMS toggles do anything meaningful.

Missed-call text-back

Automatic SMS after missed calls is configured alongside Phone & SMS (requires Voice / dedicated-line features). See Missed Call Text-Back.

Staff web push

Schedule changes broadcast Schedule updated pushes to eligible staff when enabled in the browser — see Web Push Notifications and Staff Scheduling.

Tips

  • Start from defaults, then disable noisy channels per audience (office vs tech).
  • SMS requires compliant sending numbers — see Messaging Compliance & 10DLC.
