Why we built Grunlo.
The pattern that kept showing up in field service businesses was the same: a great crew, real demand, and a back office held together by spreadsheets, Post-its, and texts. Recurring jobs were tracked in a notebook. A missed call meant a lost lead. Invoices got chased on Sunday nights. Drive time ate the margin.
Most of the software written for these businesses is either cheap and unfinished, or polished and priced for a regional chain. Neither feels right for a 1-to-10-truck crew that just wants the office to run without their hands on it. So we built something in the middle — something modern, fast, mobile-first, and priced where it makes sense to a real small business.
What we believe.
- Transparent pricing. Plans, what's included, and what's extra are right on the website. No "talk to sales" gates for software that costs less than payroll for an hour.
- You own your data. Customer lists, photos, invoices, jobs — export to CSV any day, including the day you decide to leave. We don't hide the door.
- Built for the truck. The field tech app is browser-based and works on whatever phone your crew already has. No app-store install, no provisioning, no per-seat surprise.
- Month-to-month. No annual contracts unless you ask for one (and want the discount). Cancel from your settings page in two clicks; we won't ask you to "schedule a call."
- Ship every week. We publish what we've shipped — including the bugs we've fixed — on our blog. It's the most honest measure of whether the software is alive.
Where we are.
We're smaller and newer than the big names you've heard of. We're also shipping features every week with a focus on the things 1-to-10-truck crews actually need — and the support email goes to the team that wrote the code.
The honest tradeoff: we don't have ten years of feature inertia. If your business needs a piece we don't have yet, tell us. We'll usually have a clear answer about whether it's on the roadmap, in the next month, in the next quarter, or "not what Grunlo is going to be."
