What we'll bring over from Jobber.

Specifics matter when your business runs on this data. Here's the honest list.

Comes over cleanly

  • Customers & properties — full contact details, multiple property addresses, notes, billing/service split
  • Recurring jobs & visit schedules — weekly, biweekly, monthly, custom cadences with the next-visit date intact
  • Outstanding invoices — status, amount, customer, due date; you can re-send from Grunlo if needed
  • Job history — past jobs with date, customer, status, notes
  • Service catalog — line items, default prices, default durations

Comes over with a manual mapping pass

These move, but the export format from Jobber needs cleanup. We do the cleanup ourselves — you don't — but want you to know it's happening:

  • Photos & attachments — downloaded from Jobber and re-attached to the matching job in Grunlo
  • Timesheets — manual mapping from Jobber’s export format to our time-clock entries
  • Custom fields — manually mapped to Grunlo equivalents (we’ll review with you before importing)

Doesn't come over (and why)

  • Internal team chat history — not exported by Jobber; we’d rather be honest than fake it
  • Jobber-specific automations & reminders — you rebuild these in Grunlo; the equivalents are usually simpler to set up here than they were to set up there
  • SMS conversation history — Jobber doesn’t export this in a re-importable format; new conversations start fresh on the day you switch

How the switch actually works.

Four steps, two weeks of parallel running, zero days of downtime.

  1. 1

    Start a free Grunlo trial.

Sign up in under 60 seconds. No credit card. We provision your subdomain (your-business.grunlo.com) and your starter inbox. Your Jobber account stays exactly as it is.

    Time: 5 minutes
  2. 2

Export your data from Jobber — or hand us the password.

You can either run Jobber’s built-in CSV export and email us the files, or grant us read-only access to your Jobber account so we pull what we need ourselves. Either way, we sign an NDA before touching it.

    Time: 30 minutes (your work)
  3. 3

We import everything — for free — while you keep working in Jobber.

Customers, properties, recurring jobs, photos, outstanding invoices, service catalog. Typically 1–3 business days for a 1–10 truck crew, longer for larger histories. We share a preview of what we’ll import before pressing the button. You don’t lift a finger here.

Time: 1–3 business days (we do this)
  4. 4

Run both for two weeks. Cancel Jobber when you're confident.

You and the crew use Grunlo for new jobs while keeping Jobber for any in-flight work that’s mid-billing-cycle. After two weeks (or longer — we don’t rush you), cancel Jobber from their settings page. No retention call required on our side.

Time: 2 weeks of parallel running

Trial overlap, no double-billing trap.

Your Grunlo trial is 14 days, free, no credit card required. Your Jobber subscription stays active because you haven’t cancelled it. There is no point where you’re paying both at the same time unless you choose to extend the parallel-run period beyond your trial.

What your crew and your customers will notice.

For your crew

The field tech app is browser-based — no app-store install, no per-seat charge. Your crew opens a URL on the same phone they already use. Today’s schedule, photos, and status updates are 5 minutes of training; we offer a free 30-minute walkthrough call if you want one.

For the office

Most of Jobber’s screens map cleanly to Grunlo: jobs, customers, invoices, schedule, inbox. The biggest day-one change is that everything — SMS, voicemail, customer forms — lands in one shared inbox instead of separate sub-tools.

For your customers

The customer portal looks different but uses the same email address they already had on file. Their existing magic-link logins are reissued the first time we send them a notification. Outstanding invoices get a one-time "we’ve moved — here’s where to pay" message before going quiet again.

Switch-day questions, plain answers.

Everything you need to know before getting started.

Two clean approaches. Option A: finish them in Jobber and start new ones in Grunlo from your switchover date. Option B: import everything including future-scheduled jobs and cut over fully. Most crews pick A — less disruption to your dispatcher's muscle memory in week one.
Yes. Disconnect the Jobber ↔ QuickBooks integration, then connect Grunlo ↔ QuickBooks via Settings. Your QuickBooks data is unchanged. Historical invoices recorded by Jobber stay in QuickBooks; new invoices flow from Grunlo going forward.
For a typical 1–10 truck crew with 2–5 years of history, plan on 1–3 business days from when we get your data. Larger imports (50,000+ jobs of history, large photo archives) can take a week. We give you a date estimate after seeing the export.
No — Grunlo issues new credentials. Each crew member gets an email invite the day before your switch. The username is their work email; they pick a new password on first login. No password syncing across systems.
Free. There's no setup fee, no per-record import charge, and no migration upsell. We do this because, frankly, switching software for a working business is hard enough — the import shouldn't be the friction.
Cancel from your settings page. We don't bill you, we don't call you, we don't make you book a "let's talk it through" meeting. You can also export everything we imported back to CSV from your settings page on your way out.

Start the switch — or just get on a call first.

Some operators want to start the trial right away. Some want to talk to us first to make sure their setup translates. Both are fine.
