How much revenue is ringing through while you're on a job?
Plug in your weekly call volume, the percentage you miss, your close rate, and your average ticket. We'll show the monthly and annual revenue at risk — and how much an auto-text-back recovers.

How the math works.
How we turn your inputs into dollars
- Start with calls per week. Apply your miss rate (how often nobody picks up) and your lead rate (how many of those calls are real jobs, not spam or vendors). That gives an estimate of missed lead calls per week.
- Multiply by your close rate to get lost jobs per week. We assume a missed call is a lost opportunity—no callback, no voicemail follow-through—so this is intentionally conservative.
- Multiply lost jobs by your average ticket to get weekly revenue at risk.
- Scale up: annual uses 50 working weeks (leaving two slower weeks out so the number isn’t inflated), and monthly is simply that annual figure ÷ 12 — so the two always reconcile.
- Recovered revenue applies a 50% recovery rate to the at-risk amount. That’s the middle of the range industry vendors cite for auto-text-back; your real rate will vary.
Why the 50% recovery assumption?
Industry telecom data on auto-text-back response rates ranges roughly 35–65% — you’ll see vendors quote everything from 30% to 80% depending on the segment they’re selling. We pick 50% as a transparent middle so the number you see isn’t inflated. Grunlo’s own auto-text-back tracks its conversion in the inbox so you can see the real rate once you’re running it.
What this calculator doesn’t account for
- Lifetime value of a recurring customer (the calculator uses a single ticket, not LTV)
- Word-of-mouth lost when a frustrated caller tells their neighbor
- Reputation cost from Google reviews mentioning “couldn’t get them on the phone”
All three push the real cost higher than the number above — but quantifying them honestly is hard, so we leave them out.
If those numbers hurt to read, here’s what fixes them.
